My Dear Members,
They say, “April Showers bring May flowers” so, I am awaiting a beautiful May!!!
If you attended the March luncheon, you were treated to listening to some well written essays from students in our local schools. If not, I hope you saw the recent publication of the Courier, it not only included the winning essays from our sponsored contest for you to read, but also the pictures of the students who wrote them. The first and second place winners were from Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and the third-place winner was from Worcester Preparatory School. I am sure after hearing or reading them, you too share my hope for the future of our youth and our country. Thanks to Susan Ostrowski, Jennie Allen, Yvonne Babcock, Linda Sirianni and Nina Willett. They organized, publicized, and judged this year’s Americanism Essay Contest.
Over the last couple of months we have been distributing our 40th Anniversary wineglasses to those members who could not attend the Gala. We will again distribute them in April. If you care to purchase additional glasses, we will have them available for $5 each.
Check the Newsletter for flyers for upcoming fundraiser dinners at Don’s and a special one for Sophia’s.
Looking forward to our April Meeting, when we welcome home our Senator and Delegates. If you have not done so, please register asap. We want to show them by our attendance that we support them. We want to acknowledge and show our appreciation for how devotedly and unselfishly they work to represent our “Shore way of Life.” Hope to see many of you there.
Whether we celebrate the Resurrection on Easter Sunday or the Passover, at this time of year our focus is on the Lord and His saving powers. We are united in our belief that all is accomplished through FAITH.
May you and your families have a Blessed Easter!
Jean Delcher
God bless each of you, and God bless the United States of America
