My Dear Members,
“October’s Bright Blue Weather” is shining through my window today, reminding me of how fortunate we are to be alive and living in this great country. In about 30 days, we will experience yet another election. I pray every day that God will continue to shine on Donald Trump and that he will be our elected President #47. In these few short weeks, we must continue to do what we can to help our cause. There is still time to help at Headquarters, attend a flag waving, and most of all encourage all we meet to get out and vote and even offer transportation to get people to the polls. If we genuinely believe in our country, then we must stand united and do everything we can to get Trump elected. Check out Deb’s column in this Newsletter for your opportunities to help!
Kudos to Kris Barron and her committee for a wonderful Fashion Show! No one in attendance could know the innumerable hours spent by these women to make sure that every detail was covered so that everyone would enjoy their time with us. I think you will agree with me that it was a great Show from the Program, to the models, to the clothes and the vendors. Then add in the fun of participating in the Surprise Boxes, the Mystery Envelopes and the Silent Auction. What could be better than the Finale! A big Thank You to Linda Sears, one
of our members, who used her lovely voice to lead the attendees in singing God Bless America! Start to finish the Fashion Show was a delight for all!
Thanks, to Jennie Allen, our Membership Chair and Assistant Treasurer, for volunteering to coordinate the Newsletter this month. Jennie already has a full plate, and it would be so nice if someone would like to help by taking over the Newsletter and becoming a member of the Board. Please let me know if you could help us.
Coming up in October, on the 13 th at the OP Yacht Club, we are volunteering to pack boxes for Veterans, those who would like to help just come to the YC around 11AM. A fun time can be had by all attending the Pig Roast on the 19 th , sponsored by the Worcester County Central Committee. (details in this Newsletter) Our General
Meeting will be at Worcester Tech. we all love to go there for the delicious lunch prepared by the students. I am especially looking forward to hearing from our speaker Retired Brigadier General John Teichert. As of this writing, I know of at least three gentlemen who will be joining us, so feel free to bring your spouse or significant other as your guest!
November is quickly approaching, and another committee is working hard to make our 40 th Anniversary celebration a fun time for all. Our Gala will be on Thursday evening, November 21, at the Ocean Pines Yacht Club. We will be inviting and honoring all Past Presidents and Charter members of the RWWC and celebrating the members both past and present, who gave and are giving of themselves to unite women to be active members and to promote the ideas of the Republican Party. Please use the form in this Newsletter to make your reservations. We would love to have everyone be a part of this celebration.
Have a Great Month!
Jean Delcher
God bless each of you, and God bless the United States of America!
