My Dear Members,
I trust that all the Moms had a great Mother’s Day! I love the month of May, in addition to mom’s day and being my Birthday month, some of us celebrate Graduations, Awards Nights, May Crownings and Memorial Day. Although it is a remarkably busy month, it is one of the prettiest months of the year with flowers starting to bloom and temperatures not too hot not too cold. ENJOY!
Have you seen the flags flying in front of the Veterans Memorial on Rt. 589 in Ocean Pines? What a beautiful site! We are proud to be a part of this project and again this year have two flags flying there for our heroes. I am also proud that I will be representing our club at the 20th Anniversary Celebration for the Veterans Memorial, later this month.
Our nominating committee is already hard at work to find volunteers to run for office beginning in January of 2026. If you are interested, please let one of the officers know, or if you are called, please think seriously about giving your time to our club. We have some local elections next year and we want to do our part in representing the Republican Women of our county. One position I know needs someone who can work on a computer and would be willing to be trained by another member on how to get emails sent to our members through Go-daddy. Red, White and Blue Luncheon is coming up in June. It is always a fun time to see everyone decked out in our Nation’s colors! We are excited to have as our guest speaker, Julie Harris, the current President of the National Federation of Republican Women. The venue at Lighthouse Sound is beautiful and has a relaxing view. Looking forward to seeing many of you there at our last event before summer.
Do not forget to purchase and donate gift cards for the Surprise Boxes at the Fashion Show. The Committee is working hard to make the show even better this year. Gift cards can be brought to the May or June meeting, sent to RWWC PO Box 1292, Berlin, Md 21811or delivered to Jen Brillhart or Sandy Zitzer.
