Happy June 2026 RWWC!
Summer is here, and so is that magical season when we juggle barbecues, sunscreen, days at the beach, gardening, and politics, sometimes all in the same afternoon. I’m convinced that if we can survive a June picnic in 90-degree heat while discussing voter outreach, we can handle anything Annapolis and Washington throw our way.
So far this year, our club has been busy. We’ve completed a survey, updated the committee description document, published the Board of Directors’ contact information, updated the bylaws and website, held the 3rd annual 8th-grade essay contest, met with 3 gubernatorial candidates, welcomed our state legislators home, held a candidate forum, invited 5 patriotic ladies to our May meeting, and are now planning to volunteer our time at the early and primary voting tent, and of course, have our Annual Red White and Blue event. We’ve proven that Republican women can multitask like no one else: balancing family, careers, and the occasional spirited debate over potato and pasta salad recipes.
Our mission is serious, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun while doing it. After all, laughter is a great campaign strategy; it keeps us energized, approachable, and just a little unpredictable. So, whether you’re knocking on doors, mentoring young leaders, or simply sharing our message over a glass of lemonade, know that you’re making a difference and making memories.
In June, let’s keep the momentum going. In the May message, I mentioned that we need you to give and engage. We still have several opportunities coming up over the summer months that we can use your assistance with. As you read the newsletter, please take a moment to consider volunteering to help with early and primary day voting and at the upcoming summer events, where we will have a table. Also, remember, you can invite a friend to join you at the June RWB Dinner Meeting.
Any assistance is appreciated! Please stay safe, healthy & vote Republican! Jennie Allen
