I would like to express my personal gratitude and that of our Board and membership to our former President, Beth Rodier. Her professionalism, leadership and hours of hard work over the past 4 years have been an inspiration to us all. We look forward to working with Beth as she accepts the position of Region Chairperson for MFRW. In this position, Beth will be responsible for being a voice for our region at MFRW meetings and reporting at RWWC meetings the concerns and activities of MFRW.
As your newly elected President I wish each of you and your families a Happy and healthy New Year. I am optimistic and look forward with hope to 2022. As we move ahead, we are urged to strive to improve situations our nation has experienced over the last 12 months. President Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan leaving behind hundreds of U.S. citizens and allies in the area, the unmitigated disaster of illegal immigrants crossing our southern border with the administration’s refusal to enforce our immigration laws, the cancellation of the Keystone pipeline, inflation with rising prices at historical rates, CRT, mishandling of the Covid pandemic, and a politicized Justice Department and military are just a few of the debacles of this administration.
The time from now until the midterm elections, later this year, will be our time to do our part to influence change. We must work together to ensure that Republicans are elected at the federal, state and local levels. The Republican Women of Worcester County are committed to working closely with our candidates and supporting them in any way we can. Everyone can get involved in the various campaign activities planned for this year. We invite all of our members to participate in this important endeavor and welcome new ideas. The Red Wave is beginning, let us all become a part of it.
Together we can get things done!
Sandy Zitzer, President, RWWC
